Montessori Teacher Training

The Virginia Montessori Teacher Education Center offers Early Childhood Teacher Training that will lead to certification for children ages 2 1/2 - 6.

Academic Coursework
  • 5 week summer class
  • 1 week class the following summer
  • 6 weekend seesions throughout the academic year
  • 540 hours of required internship at an approved site

VMTEC is MACTE accredited through 2011 for its early childhood program (ages 2.5 - 6). VMTEC is also affiliated with the American Montessori Society and certified by the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia.
