2008-2009 Schedule

The certification program is designed to be completed in one year but can be extended up to three years. The summer session runs for 5 ½ weeks, Monday through Friday. We meet six weekends during the academic year on Saturday and Sunday. The course is completed the next summer during one final week. A 540 hour internship is required by AMS. This amounts to a full year of “student teaching” in a Montessori classroom for at least three hours per day. The internship is either done directly following the summer classes or is completed during a second year. Attendance for classes and practice sessions is mandatory.
